Hello, everyone! Happy 2021…?
First of all, I’d like to apologize for the lack of updates since our last post. Rest assured, we are still alive. Work on the project slowed down a lot on my end since our last post due to various reasons. JamRules, on the other hand, has been busy working on the Phantasy Star Online 2 fan-translation project.
We’re aware that patch 0.9 contains untranslated text, missing textures and subtitles, amongst other issues. Regarding certain chapters not having translated text, the script files are mostly translated, and they just need to be inserted after QA. We’ll be trying to get these ironed out for our main patch release.
Some of the things still pending include :
- finish wrapping up the translation
- assurance of the quality of certain textures and movie files
- review of consistency of names, locations, etc.
Again, sorry for the radio silence. I’m hoping we can speed things up soon. Also, we could always use testers to find bugs and errors. If you would like to help us out, please feel free to reach out to us on here, or privately on GBATemp.

Speaking JamRules, he did mention Sol Trigger in one of his replies saying that he is planning on getting back at it and finishing the whole thing, so fingers crossed that he’ll be on board sooner than later!

Idk why but here I am. I am just reminiscing about gba,nds, and psp game. Suddenly I remember about this awesome game. Good job guys for translation. Also, all the fucker who stole this group job should burn to hell.

I want to know how can i play the secon arc when i can t finish the first arc
The main dialogues are mostly translated. I user Google Translator on smartphone for the parts not translated.
Also, there’s a route that crashes in the beginning of the second arc, that can be bypassed using the japanese game, pass that partm save and after that uyou can use the translated version without crashes.

Hello sir, when launch
Just want to say that I have been following fan translation projects since 2000 and I am glad that this project is not abandon ed and I am VERY thankful to ALL the teams known and those working more in secret for everything you do. It means everything to me as I LOVE Japanese stuff especially Visual Novels, Dating Sim Style, JRPG 2D of all kinds,adventure like say “Root Letter” Vita style and more. It REALLY sucks Visual Novels and games in that style are only just now beginning to get accepted over here as Ive liked em for decades but never got to experience them as they should be or know exactly what was going on. But I like the Genre and I am glad its starting to get recognized here…just sad its at a time when the quality of Anime and games in general is a lot lover overall now than back in the 90s/00’s, or even before then.
I love Anime based games as well especially JRPG’s and I love the PSP and VITA but sadly despite many tries, I never got Japanese to stick but Ive tried learning it many times sadly little resources and money really held me back as does my learning disabilities,
Another Anime style series I love getting fan-translation attention now long overdue is the “Tales of” series. Destiny Remake Directors Cut Ps2 and Innocence-R have fully playable fan translations and many of the other games are being discussed. For those that care there’s an unnecessary to me “HD upgrade” being done for Abyss PS2.
Fan Translations for many games have released recently…such as Bakemonogatari PSP, PoPoLoCrois Monogatari PSX, Tales of Innocence-R Vita Partial Fully Playable Translation update, as well as Tales of Destiny Remake directors Cut PS2 partial update with that game almost 100%, and many others for NES, SNES, 3DO, and so many other consoles.
I try to spread knowledge of Fan Translations and follow efforts for many consoles as SO MANY are done in secret and no one has a clue they are even being worked on and people should be aware of games being worked on by people to be playable in English when otherwise it would remain in Japanese only. These games from the 80s on JP PC’s through the 00’s that on Console or Handheld hardware, Arcade, or otherwise, everyone should be able to enjoy these works of art created by immensely talented people.
Thanks to this group for their long and hard work so far, I hope very much that this gets finished and bit left in its current state or at least its cools and programs made or used for this should be released to the public so someone else can if desired pick up where the creator let off, I believe PoPoLoCrois Monogatari PSX was started by someone, stopped/given up on, given to someone else, and worked on in secret by them till its recent release.
Apologize for the length…didn’t realize I typed so much already, I am praying for you to get this completed or released in a better state at the very least if possible.

I will still not lose hope. I know this will be finish. I will wait until the end. Be it1,5, 10 years. I will be 40 years old and I will play the heck of this.
I just took a look at the GBAtemp forum, and it seems this project is in hiatus. Is that the case or is it still going?
